The Governors do this, sometimes; they hold a meet-and-greet for the new arrivals to help them get acclimated, and also to distract them from destroying their rooms. A message goes out to all the new arrivals informing them of a party with free food. Everyone likes free food, right?

In one of the recreation areas - sadly, not one of the ones accessible by slide - there are some chips, dip, some sodas and Solo cups, several large pizzas, and a surprising amount of Oreos.

Party.

It's rare for people to respond so happily at the declaration of being something other than human, at least back home, so Alex is caught a bit by surprise. However, his smile broadens and flashes those pointy canines, and he nods.

"Yeah, really... And a fresh of breath air that you're not trying to stab me for saying so." It's said with a laugh, but he's completely serious. There was a definitive division between people back home and supernatural a were often on the receiving end of a lot of bad shit.

A moment later, however, he understands both the warm greeting and why being near Chase had set him off so sharply. Alex is practically beaming as he clasps Chase's hand in greeting. "You don't know how good it is to, one, say what I am aloud, and two, find others that aren't human here!" Particularly in their newly recruited group. He glances around the room, gesturing at the others that have begun to mingle.

"Any others that you've met, yet?"
