The Governors do this, sometimes; they hold a meet-and-greet for the new arrivals to help them get acclimated, and also to distract them from destroying their rooms. A message goes out to all the new arrivals informing them of a party with free food. Everyone likes free food, right?

In one of the recreation areas - sadly, not one of the ones accessible by slide - there are some chips, dip, some sodas and Solo cups, several large pizzas, and a surprising amount of Oreos.

Party.

Cissie doesn't actually mind that someone hears her--or that they answer. Apparently there aren't many others here who are impressed by this so-called party, but then, she can't really imagine that the other "guests" are any happier to be invited than she is.

Still, she can't say she imagined bonding with fellow kidnapees over oreos. Points for creativity, kidnappers.

"We had oreos if we went and got them from 7-11," she said with a bit of a smile. "Oreos and Chips Ahoy and if we got really crazy, there might even be Nutter Butters. But I can't say I've ever seen this many in one place before."

Chase laughs a little, all friendly, not a hint of his generally dickish and power-hungry personality showing through for now. "Mm, Nutter Butters?" He casts his gaze at the snack tables pointedly. "Now those would've made this seem like a real special occasion." With a casual shrug, he adds, "At least the pizza's not too bad."

Not great, but not bad. He smiles at her. "I'm Chase, by the way."

She makes a small noise of amusement--not quite a laugh, but close. "At least there's that. Since we can't have the Nutter Butters." She offers a hand, and a smile of her own. "I'm Cissie. Nice to meet you--I think. Circumstances aside."
